FIELD: cooling of liquid products, in particular, milk, in agricultural production, food-processing engineering. SUBSTANCE: cooling unit has rotary wheel mounted on central pipeline axially mounted in upper part of housing, aerodynamic blades fixed on rotary wheel. Central pipeline is communicated with feeding pump, which is connected with heat-exchanging device. Distributing pipe is arranged in mid portion of housing and provided with spraying nozzles directed upward. Distributing pipe is connected through regulating valve and filter with water supply system. Discharge branch pipe is mounted in side wall of housing lower part separated from mid portion of housing by annular space. Discharge branch pipe is separated from inner cavity of lower part of housing by vertical screen defining, together with side wall of lower part, space in upper and lower parts of housing. Discharge branch pipe is communicated with equalizing tank and heat-exchanger via vertical or inclined pipe. Equalizing tank is connected with heat-exchanger and evaporator of refrigerating machine. Evaporator is connected with pump and heat-exchanger. Discharge branch pipe connects lower part of housing via valve and container to pump, which is connected with condenser of refrigerating machine and via valve - with central pipeline. Cylindrical wall of upper part and horizontal wall of mid part of housing are provided with openings.
