FIELD: mechanical engineering and instrumentation engineering for high-precision finishing (grinding) of workpieces. SUBSTANCE: device has a base, upper plate with a workpiece chuck installed in parallel with the base. The heating element with the heating and cooling system is placed between the base and upper plate. The device provides for a system of wedges installed on the base and upper plate and engaged with balls placed in the strips secured on the ends of the heating element made of metal with a thermomechanical memory. The upper plates moves on cylindrical guides placed between which are the plate resetting springs. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 dwg
