APPARATUS FOR FEEDING BLANKS AT GRINDING Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: plants of machine engineering and instrument making industry branches, namely devices for precise feeding of blanks at working, particularly at finish grinding of blanks. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes base and upper plate with attachment for fixing blank and stationary wedge. Upper plate is moved by means of heat member that elongates when voltage is applied to it and causes displacement of movable wedge whose one end engages with spring mounted on bracket and whose opposite end engages with spring-loaded wedge. Stem of the spring-loaded wedge serves as core of electromagnet. Spring-loaded wedge constantly engages with movable wedge that is why upper plate moves upwards for realizing microfeed of blank. When heat member is de-energized upper plate remains in previous position fixed by means of spring-loaded wedge, it allows to dwell blank. The whole system returns to initial position after motion of spring-loaded wedge due to drawing in core of electromagnet. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of blank feed, practically zero delay of apparatus. 3 dwg
