SUBSTANCE: device contains base, heating member, enclosure for protecting the device, device for fixing the workpiece, heating and cooling systems for heating member . The heating member is made of housing rigidly fixed on the base. The device for fixing the workpiece is mounted on the housing. The heating and cooling systems of the heating member are presented by thermoelectric heater which heat the housing and by fluid flow which cool it. The device operates at conditions of defectless grinding with accelerated sparking-out. EFFECT: enhanced quality of the workpiece surface to be grounded due to providing uniform high-accuracy motion of the workpiece by means of the heating member. 2 dwg
