FIELD: electrochemistry. SUBSTANCE: in process of displacement of charged particles during electrolysis for the purpose of their preservation electrodes are insulated electrically. They divide tray into communicating compartments. Voltage source is connected to electrodes. As a result, positive charged particles gather at negative electrode, and negative charge particles move to positive electrodes. In this way they are preserved. Pure solvent remains in interelectrode space. To return solution to initial state, it is sufficient to exchange poles of electrodes. Charged particles are neutralized by their removal from electric field action zone. Consumption of power for the given method is 100-1000 times less than in case of electrolysis. In addition, solution is not heated. The given method can be used on industrial scale for cleaning of water and operating media, decomposition of salts, extraction of chemical elements, and generation of free ions. Concentration of one-sign ions makes it possible to accumulate charges, to use properties of ferromagnetic materials and to realize the Wien effect at low voltages of electric field and to control chain reaction of nucleus division at reactance introduction speed which cannot be obtained by means of traditional methods. EFFECT: low power consumption, improved nucleus safety of reactor. 9 cl, 1 dwg, 7 tbl
