FIELD: medicine; elimination of occlusions in vessels and small-diameter canals of human body. SUBSTANCE: proposed apparatus comprises revolving tip which, according to both proposed methods for removing or treating occlusion in vessel, is directed to occluded area and rotated, thereby grinding out and removing occlusion. Tip comprises variable-diameter coil actuatable by piston connected with half-couplings associated with proximal and distal ends of coil. Diameter is adjusted by axial movement of half-couplings. Alternatively, coil diameter can be changed (activated) with help of bellows disposed inside coil and connected with its ends. As third alternative embodiment, coil diameter can be changed with help of internal coil housed by outer coil and connected with distal end of outer coil by moving internal coil axially and/or by causing it to revolve. EFFECT: useful invention for combatting occlusions and obstructions. 48 cl, 11 dwg
