FIELD: traumatology; orthopedics; treatment of transverse platypodia. SUBSTANCE: tendon adductor of muscle actuating main phalanx of first toe of patient's foot must be located and dissected from point of its fixation of proximal end of main phalanx, followed by suturing severed tendon with tendon suture and by practising transposition of adductor muscle tendon. Latter is then divided into two half-tendons, one of which is passed over, and other-under metatarsal bone. Both half-tendons are tied up together so as to keep resulting whole tendon under tension. EFFECT: simplified operative procedure; enhanced efficiency of treatment; minimum traumaticity for patient.
