FIELD: shipboard propellers creating thrust due to energy of sea swell. SUBSTANCE: plant includes unbalanced hydrofoils mounted on stocks, control system and hydrofoil raising mechanism. Hydrofoils are connected with center-wing section by means of stocks; center-wing section is connected with shaft by means of parallel link mechanism containing rods. This shaft is connected in its turn with mechanism for rotating it. When not in use, center- wing section together with hydrofoils is located above waterline and is secured to ship's stem by means of coupling unit. To place center-wing section together with hydrofoils into working position, they are immersed and are secured to stem by means of coupling unit located below waterline. Control of hydrofoils is effected by means of self-contained automatic control system. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 4 dwg
