FIELD: electrolytic processes. SUBSTANCE: invention focuses on extracting high-purity platinum from concentrated hydrochloric acid solutions of polluted platinum. Process is carried out in electrolytic cell separated by cation-exchange membrane under potentiostatic conditions or controlled voltage within 2.5 to 8 V range and current density ranged from 0.3 to 12.5 A/sq. dm, after which precipitated platinum alloy metals are withdrawn. Content of polluted platinum in initial solutions is varied over 50 to 70 g/l range, and summary impurity content is less than 5000 ppm. EFFECT: reduced expenses and environmental damage. 12 cl
