METHOD AND MACHINE FOR STABILIZATION OF GROUND BASE FOR RAILWAY TRACK Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: railway track maintenance equipment. SUBSTANCE: machine has device for cutting ballast from under rail-and-sleep structure which is provided with cutting chain, also device for delivering additives to create protective layer, device for mixing additives with earth of ground base located behind cutting chain in direction of machine operation, and compacting plate located behind device for mixing additives with ground base earth in direction of machine operation. Device for delivering additives has vessel, and device for mixing additives with ground base earth has spraying nozzles connected with aforesaid vessel. Machine ensures stabilization of ground base in compliance with method. Device for cutting ballast from under rail-and-sleep structure is set under this structure, ballast is cut out and cleaned. Then additives are introduced to ground base surface freed from ballast and additives are mixed with earth of ground base by loosening upper layers of ground base. Ground base surface is then levelled and compacted to form protective layer and after that clean ballast is placed over it. Used as additive for formation of protective layer are cement slurry and mixture of limestone and water sprayed over surface of ground base. EFFECT: high efficiency. 13 cl, 4 dwg
