FIELD: gyroscopic engineering; dynamically adjustable gyroscopes. SUBSTANCE: flexible gimbal mount includes the following components made integral: drive shaft, rotor, one or two gimbal frames and flexible supports which are used to connect gimbal frame (frames) with drive shaft and rotor by two mutually-perpendicular axes. Drive shaft is provided with four spokes whose axes lie in plane of axes of gimbal and are oriented relative to them at angles multiple of 45 deg. Ends of spokes are provided with circular cylinder attachments; gimbal frame (frames) and rotor are provided with holes whose axes coincide with axes of spokes if axes of rotation of drive shaft and rotor are in line. Each spoke is free to pas through holes in gimbal frame (frames); side surfaces of holes in rotor and attachments of spokes of drive shaft are separated by circular clearance limiting the translation and angular displacements of drive shaft and rotor. Amount of clearance is selected on the condition that maximum probable stresses in flexible supports do not exceed limit of elasticity. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 5 dwg
