FIELD: testing equipment. SUBSTANCE: process consists in movement of unit over sliding guides, in application of pulse disturbing load to units of machine tool along direction of cutting force, in recording of signals of transition processes, in determination of experimental amplitude-frequency characteristic of system which is approximated by analytical dependence in the form of equivalent mathematical model expressed in characteristic of oscillatory link. Frequency of free damping oscillations of model is established, independently there are determined mass of mobile unit, rigidity and scattering factor of drive, angular coefficient of inclination of static velocity friction characteristic, time constant of floating up of unit and coefficient of viscous resistance, correction to damping factor is evaluated with allowance for these values. Transfer function is found by relationship specified in description of invention. EFFECT: improved authenticity of determination of transfer function. 2 dwg
