FIELD: machine tool manufacture. SUBSTANCE: method is used for development of mathematical model of complex mechanic or electromechanic system with distributed parameters for analysis of non-stationary processes in mechanic, electromechanic and electric systems. Method comprises steps of determining time constant values and gain factors for non-rotating blank. In order to determine limits of stable cutting process in lathes at working flexible blanks and blanks with their natural frequency almost equal to revolution number at working by setting allowable rotation range of flexible blank, transfer function is determined according to given formula in dependence upon time constant values, gain factors and revolution number of blanks.
