FIELD: metal coatings. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacturing shape-forming surfaces of working parts of press-molds and manufacturing irregular-shape objects using predominantly carbonyl-process nickelizing. Method consists in synthesizing nickel tetracarbonyl in fluidized layer of nickel powder (10-100 mcm) with activating elements - nickel beads (3- 10 mm) reacting with carbon monoxide in presence of benzene followed by heat cleavage of nickel tetracarbonyl on heated surface of object in gas-vapor medium consisting of 5-15 vol.% nickel tetracarbonyl, 35- 90 vol.% CO, and 5-50 vol. % benzene. Method is distinguished by that nickel tetracarbonyl content in working gas-vapor medium is continuously controlled by indirect measurements of synthesized mixture, while benzene content is provided by pressure corresponding to saturation at specified temperature in evaporator. Proportion of nickel powder and beads is optimized with regard to weight and linear size: 1:(3-10) and 1:(10-300), respectively. Installation is constructed in the form of two closed circuits with common circulation pump. One circuit comprises tribochemical nickel tetracarbonyl synthesis reactor and gas analyzer, the other nickel tetracarbonyl heat cleavage chamber with heated modules and benzene evaporator on its inlet. According to invention, between gas holder and circulation pump, there is a gas analyzer in the form of centrifugal pump connected through orifice with pressure drop gauge.
