FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: present invention describes synthesis of perfluorocarbons of general formula: CnF2n+2 wherein n is 1-4. Original reagents are carbon and gaseous fluorine which is used as mixtures with recycle products. Synthesis is carried out at temperature of 450-800 C, contact time of 1-10 s under vigorous stirring of reagents. Content of desired products in mixture obtained in synthesis stage is at least 90%.
