SUBSTANCE: method of protecting metal pipelines from earth current consists in electrically separating section to be protected from remaining part of pipeline by dielectric insertions and imposing protection current on separated section. Method is distinguished by utilizing layered flexible non-conducting pipe as dielectric insertion which is particularly effective in urban conditions. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of process.
