FIELD: transport engineering; wheels for racing bicycles. SUBSTANCE: shells of hub, spokes and wheel rim are made of nonmetallic composite materials. Each material contains long-fiber reinforcing filler and polymerized binder. Shells of rim and spokes have symmetrical aerodynamic profiles with inner partitions. Spaces between profile edges and corresponding partitions are filled with low-density resilient material and form fairings of rim and spokes. Spaces inside shells of rim and spokes between partitions are made hollow. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 10 cl, 8 dwg
