FIELD: sorption treatment. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treating aqueous and gas- vapor media, drinking water, sugar syrups, and intermediate products in antibiotic production. Hydrolysis lignin is dehydrated, mixed with hydrolysis lignin with relative moisture content 5-15% - fraction less than 1 mm in amount 5-25% based on weight of completely dry initial material; crushed to dispersity corresponding to outside specific surface 2500-5000 sq. cm/g; extruded under pressure 100-500 kg/sq.cm, 60-90 C, and extrusion rate 0.05-0.20 m/s through shaping channels of dye with channel diameter to length ratio 1:(4-10). Lignin grains are submitted to drying, carbonization, and gas-vapor activation. Rubbing resistance of resultant granulated activated carbon is 76-89%, summary porosity (for water) 1.0-1.2 cu. cm/g, and iodine clarifying capacity 65-71%. EFFECT: improved performance characteristics.
