FIELD: production of active coal which is used for purification of aqueous medium against organic acids, aldehydes, ketones and other organic impurities. SUBSTANCE: raw materials are ground and then are affected by carbonization. The process takes place in stream of carbon dioxide at 400-750 C, ratio of fruit kernel and gas being 1:100-120. Thus prepared carbonizate is cooled to 20-50 C and then it is affected by secondary carbonization at 750-900 C, heating rate being 2-7 C/min. Then steam and gas activation and screening of desired product are carried out. Yield of active coal is increased up to 48 %, in active coal volume of micropores with radius 0.5-0.7 nm is predominated. EFFECT: improved adsorption indexes of desired product.
