FIELD: information technologies. SUBSTANCE: method involves processing text materials, detection of data which are associated with constituents of user interests profile, displaying these data during processing in visual or multimedia representation, generation of local network structures which represent type of connection between each independent piece of test to be processed and constituents from user interests profile. Some invention claims involves chart presentation of statistics with respect to frequency use of different local structures and structures of different number of elements from user interests profile. Other claims involve construction of integral network which represent logical sum of local structures. Picture of this network is displayed in layout mode and for its several parts. In any case method involves priority selection of information text materials which are most pertinent to user's interests and help in detection of hidden problems which are not shown during standard sequential investigation of texts. EFFECT: possibility to take into account user interests profile, i.e. information needs of user as well as provide integrated quantitative estimation of information in whole set of text under processing. 6 cl, 10 dwg
