FIELD: reactive power correction for loads of distribution networks of industrial plants. SUBSTANCE: voltage across capacitor ensuring desired reactive power is varied and corrected due to trickle charging and discharging of storage capacitor over independent circuits. Method is implemented by introducing controlled rectifier and inverter driven by network and connected to the latter through power transformers which makes it possible to reduce proportion of higher harmonics in generated current curve in case of voltage increase. EFFECT: improved speed of response and extended control range in reactive-power sources due to varying voltage across storage capacitor in controlled voltage changer. 2 cl, 1 dwg
