FIELD: cleaning waste gases in various industries. SUBSTANCE: method involves forced mixing of oxidizer and oxidized reagent at high-temperature portion of exhaust section and oxidation of unsaturated hydrocarbon and carbon oxide with oxygen contained in flow of these gases. Forced mixing of oxidizer and oxidizer reagents is made in two steps; during first step, macrovolumes of waste gases containing excess oxidizer are longitudinally displaced by simultaneously applying braking and accelerating forces to waste gas flow; during second step, displaced macrovolumes of these gases are mixed up by applying longitudinal-and- transverse forces; braking and accelerating forces are built up by mechanical action on flow and transverse- longitudinal forces, due to gasodynamic action on flow or due to acoustic vibrations. EFFECT: reduced amount of toxic pollutants emitted by internal-combustion engines, boiler units, thermal power plants into the atmosphere. 4 cl, 8 dwg
