FIELD: spatial sound reproduction by means of headphones and implementing specific sound effects. SUBSTANCE: self-contained listener-head turning marker of stereo system is made in the form of radionavigation direction finder. Radiation sources of this device are fixed on listener's body and identical receiving antenna dipoles, one on each earphone of headset. Stereo system is provided with X-Y sensor of angular position of headphones in vertical plane made in the form of optically transparent frosted ball. The latter is mounted on light guide and has two pairs of photodetectors. Any turn of listener's head changes parameters of stereo effect shaping unit to save reality of reproduced acoustic space.
