METHOD FOR PRODUCING DRESSING MATERIAL FOR TREATING CICATRICES Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: medicine; biochemistry; cosmetology; treatment of cicatricial contractions caused by burns, postoperative ones, keloid ones, etc. SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises steps of subjecting textile material, namely, medical gauze, to primary treatment, followed by pressing material to remove moisture from it, by treating material with ferment at 20-25 C, drying, packaging and sterilizing material with gamma-rays applied in dose 25 kGray. Inventive novelty of proposed method resides in following features: during step of primary treatment 1 part by weight of material is treated with 4-6 parts by weight of 2- to 4%-aqueous solution of diethylene triamino pentaacetic acid (pentacyn) calcium- trisodium salt at pH=?.0-5.5 and temperature 40-50 C for 2-4 h. During ferment treatment of material, proposed method employs aqueous solution containing 3.2-6.4 conventional units/ml lidase preparation, solution being taken in ratio 1-2 parts by weight per 1 part by weight of material. Final immobilization treatment is carried out at pH= 4.5-4.7 for 1-2 h.
