FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: slab, before being heated to be rolled, is covered by two aluminum-containing layers with specified thickness. Layers are applied onto slab surface in the form of suspension, the first layer containing 25-65% aluminum powder, 20-50% cryolite, and 15-25% sodium chloride. Suspension consumption when applying first layer is 1.5-2 kg/sq.m and its density 1.6-1.9 g/cu.cm. The second layer contains 60- 80% aluminum powder and 20-40% liquid glass; its consumption is 2.0- 4.0 kg/sq.m and density 1.5-1.9 g/cu.cm (after the first layer is dried). EFFECT: obtained corrosion-resistant sheet with surface- alloyed layer containing at least 8% aluminum. 1 tbl
