FIELD: road building; compacting of pavement. SUBSTANCE: roll has drum made of resilient material with end face disks. Drum accommodates rollers on brackets secured on roll axle. Length of rollers is less than length of drum. Distance between opposite generatrices of diametrically arranged rollers exceeds inner diameter of drum. Axis of symmetry of brackets arranged in middle part of drums in plane square to axes of roll is turned through 90 degrees relative to axes of symmetry of brackets arranged close to end face disks. End face disks are coupled with drum by means of resilient member. Length of rollers secured on brackets located near end face disks is equal to half the length of rollers arranged in middle portion of drum. Rollers of middle portion are barrel-shaped. Rollers close to end face disks are taper shaped, with diameter increasing in direction to end face disks. Relative position of rollers at angle of 90 degrees provides shockless operation of drum, decreasing vibration of soil and construction proper. Flexible coupling of drum and end face disks provides realization of change in drum geometry. Shape and length of rollers make construction more rational and improve its serviceability.
