SUBSTANCE: barren rock broken in driving flange drift and connections is stored in district crosscuts and hauled to worked out space of long face after passing the winze by breakage face. For full storage of barren rocks, number of connections is varied and in stored barren rock, spaces are left for subsequent mechanized supply of barren rock to worked out spaces and for air passage. EFFECT: provision of complete leaving of broken rock in mine to facilitate environmental control. 3 dwg
