FIELD: metallurgy; devices for thermal treatment of loose materials; manufacture of building materials; cooling hot cement clinker escaping from roasting furnace at simultaneous heating of air used in combustion system of roasting furnace. SUBSTANCE: cooling air is fed to each movable lattice member of lattice cooler containing movable and stationary lattice members by means of flexible joint consisting of rigid pipe with two end sections having rounded-off outer sides and mounted for displacement and deflection in separate branch pipes fitted on movable lattice member and on stationary frame of cooler which is also used as supply pipe line.
