APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING LUMPY WASTE PRODUCTS OF HARD ALLOYS WITH USE OF ZINC Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC C22B34/36 C22B7/00 

FIELD: metallurgy of secondary non-ferrous metals, namely processing of lumpy waste products of hard alloys on base of tungsten carbide.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes electric furnace and vacuum reactor with heating and condensation zones. Upper zone of reactor (heating zone) is arranged inside electric furnace; lower zone of reactor (condensation zone) is arranged outside reactor. Apparatus is provided with water-cooled table having vacuum branch pipe. In heating and condensation zones of vacuum reactor there are two cylindrical mutually changeable graphite boats arranged one over another and having slits in upper part and through axial branch pipes mounted along the same axis with said vacuum branch pipe. Lower boat with lumpy waste products of hard alloy is arranged on water-cooled table. Graphite dispersing sleeve is mounted on upper surface of table. Upper boat with lumps of hard alloy and with lumps of zinc is provided with graphite lid.

EFFECT: simplified design, enhanced efficiency, lowered power consumption.
