FIELD: radio electronics; generation and regenerative amplification of superhigh-frequency waves. SUBSTANCE: tube has distributed-variables resonator accommodating cathode and anode with evacuated space between them, and coupling members for electromagnetic energy input and output. Generation and regeneration mode is attained by adequate selection of cathode and anode positions relative to standing-wave field in resonator. EFFECT: enlarged operating-frequency control range compared with drift-tube klystrons; simplified design of tube. 2 dwg
