FIELD: mechanical engineering; fuel system devices for compression ignition engines. SUBSTANCE: shutoff cone of spray tip needle has through radial hole and axial hole in needle spindle portion communicating with radial hole. Spindle is arranged on end of shutoff needle so that, with needle on rest, nozzle orifices in spray tip well are open, and with needle on seat, orifices are closed. Nozzle orifices are arranged in pairs so that each pair has one orifice located on shutoff cone of spray tip seat and the other orifice, in well of spray tip. Axes of these holes intersect at some distance from spray tip body, being in one plane with its axis which provides uniform distribution of fuel over combustion chamber in process of injection owing to collision of sprays and subsequent change of geometry of fuel spray which acquires form of hollow elliptical cone. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 1 dwg
