FIELD: working stands, mainly for wide strip cold and hot rolling mills. SUBSTANCE: stand includes housings whose struts support mounted in their cross slits stationary hydraulic units with plungers, backup and working rolls with chocks mounted between said hydraulic units and provided with wings engaging with plungers of said hydraulic units. Cross slits of housing struts have lengthwise protrusions. Said hydraulic units have lengthwise grooves for joining with slit protrusions by interference fit. Hydraulic units are arranged between changeable inserts mounted in upper and lower portions of said slits with possibility of engagement with wings of said chocks. Distance between inserts placed on mutually opposite struts of housings is less than width of housing window. Chocks are arranged between hydraulic units with guaranteed gaps preventing their contact. EFFECT: improved design. 2 dwg
