FIELD: organic synthesis. SUBSTANCE: method involves hydrochlorination of ethylene oxide by hydrogen chloride which takes place in the medium of reaction products. Portion of reaction mass is cooled, saturated by hydrogen chloride and then is fed for hydrochlorination, residual portion being fed for isolation of ethylene chlorohydrine. Molar ratio of ethylene oxide and hydrogen chloride by hydrochlorination is 1:1.2-2 respectively. Yield of ethylene chlorohydrine is 93.1-99.2 %. EFFECT: increased yield of desired product. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
