SUBSTANCE: method involves extracting ribonucleic acid from yeast biomass in heated alkaline medium, separating the biomass from extract, treating the ribonucleic acid extract with proteolytic enzymes introduced as 10 to 100 units of activity per 1 l of extract, reducing solution pH to 3.8-4.2, heating it to 80-100 C, clarifying solution, settling ribonucleic acid with calcium chloride and treating the so obtained sediment with mineral acid.
