FIELD: medicine; prosthetics; prosthesis engineering; gynecology. SUBSTANCE: depending on standard size of mamma prosthesis to be manufactures for woman with mamma removed surgically, required amount of polyvinyl chloride plastisol is weighed. Simultaneously, first film layer distended on tambour of mould is subjected to vacuum treatment. Then plastisol is poured into mould and weld joint on film is degreased with alcohol. Second film is placed and distended on mould tambour, the latter is placed into die and covered with lid of punch. With the help of cotton wool tampon air bubbles are dabbed away and mixture is uniformly spread out all over surface of die. Then central mechanism of mould is closed with punch which size corresponds to that of prosthesis to be manufactured. Vacuum supply is cut off and mixture is subjected to curing at temperature 160 $$$ C for 1 h 20 min - 1 h 40 min. Use of plastisol as a filler simplifies manufacturing process to maximum extent. Labor-consuming manual operations used in prototype are eliminated, namely: crushing cement and other starting materials, preparing mortar, bringing weight ratio of components, i.e. cement + water + glycerol up to required consistency of liquid filler, filling prosthesis shell under pressure. Prosthesis is less labor-consuming to manufacture and can be custom-made to suit difficult cases. There is no possibility for leakage of filler from mamma prosthesis shell. Guaranteed service life is extended in 4 times. EFFECT: higher quality and convenience. 1 dwg
