SUBSTANCE: absorbing member has fibrous material and composition of water-insoluble hydrogel forming polymeric particles. Portion of composition particles are joined by cross-linking agent to form agglomerates so that surface covalent bonding between particles is provided. Average size of composition particles exceeds that of nonagglomerated particles by 25-150%. Fibrous material - composition weight ratio is 2-98:98-2. Absorbing article has upper liquid-permeable layer, lower liquid-impermeable layer connected with upper layer and absorbing core positioned between upper and lower layer and having absorbing member.
