FIELD: railway air-cushion vehicle with air-jet propulsion units. SUBSTANCE: air-road transport uses railway bed with rails and cars with engines and propulsion units connected into train by car butt joining gears, with brake devices and vertical axles of rotation of wheel bogies. Railway bed is made in form of air-cushion road with rails at sides of reinforced concrete bed and steel body installed in between and divided by steps forming chambers of air cushions with doors forming expansion chambers of secondary jet propulsion unit. Cars are multideckers of passenger-and freight-type. Head car has several jet engines-propulsion units delivering gases into air cushion chambers, passenger-and-freight cars, following the head car, are provided each with one jet engine-propulsion unit. Train includes also platform car for carrying large-size loads. Tail car has chamber of secondary jet propulsion unit formed by doors of air-cushion road. Butt-joining gear has vertical and horizontal axles of rotation connected with rear and front cars of train. Wheel bogies of multidecker cars are arranged separately along left-hand and right-hand rails. Cars are provided with brake skis installed between wheel bogies and engaging with rail heads. Upper part of engine-propulsion unit is made in form of head with combustion chamber and gas conduit enclosed in heat insulating chamber. Lower part of engine-propulsion unit is formed by road air-cushion chambers. Head combustion chamber is connected with compressed air cylinder, compressed air being delivered by compressor, and with fuel pump delivering liquefied gas from corresponding cylinder.
