FIELD: railway transport; high-speed vehicles. SUBSTANCE: air-road transport system has road-bed and train consisting of passenger-and-cargo cars. Ski-barrier road with two relatively parallel skis laid at a distance from each other is used as road - bed. Road has steel body installed in middle portion of road-bed between two skis and provided with walls parallel to skis with barriers installed square to body walls and separating one air cushion from other adjacent one. Air-ski train used in system has head cargo-and-passenger car, tail cargo-and-passenger car and one or several cargo-and-passenger cars and platform cars installed between head and tail pairs of cars. Cars are installed on ski tracks and are connected to each other by butt-joint units to form air ski train with engine-propeller upper part arranged in cars. Engine-propeller is made in form of air breathing jet engine with combustion chamber to which branch pipes with nozzles from fuel pump are laid. Combustion chamber is connected by nozzle orifice with widening gas duct laid to upper portion of air cushion of ski-barrier road, and provided with door with axle of rotation installed under gas duct square to walls of air cushion body and with heat insulating chamber enclosing combustion chamber and gas duct and connected through inlet branch pipe with compressor and through outlet hole with upper part of air cushion. Two tail cars are furnished with chamber of secondary air breathing jet engine installed over air cushions of ski-barrier road. Head and tail cars are made streamlined. Internal combustion engines with electric generators are installed additionally in these cars. Cars are made with several decks the first of which being cargo one and all others, passenger ones.
