FIELD: measurement technology, contactless photometric determination of roughness, structure and defects of surfaces of article. SUBSTANCE: ellipsoid of revolution 3 with internal mirror surface focuses laser radiation reflected by tested surface 5 matched with its first focus 4 on to sensitive surface of photodetector 7 positioned in its second focus 6 and registers integral intensity of diffusion component of reflected light. Photodetector 8 installed between focuses 4 and 6 in path of propagation of mirror component registers integral intensity of the latter simultaneously splitting reflected radiation into diffusion and mirror components thanks to screening of the latter. Roughness of surface is determined by relation of integral intensities and defects- by their change. Photodetectors 7, 8 may form closed light-sensitive body-photometric sonde with discrete photocells with their sensitive surfaces which expands capabilities of device for identification of defects and inhomogeneity of structure.
