FIELD: nondestructive testing. SUBSTANCE: ultrasonic oscillations are excited in specimen and taken off the latter. Prior to reception by flaw detector, oscillations are received by piezoelectric transducer from rear side of specimen. This reception is indicated by standard indicator, and preset time later the same piezoelectric transducer radiates oscillations into specimen periodically with amplitude exceeding the threshold level of flaw detector. Serviceability of flaw detector is judged by joint readings of flaw detector indicators and standard indicator. Device has standard piezoelectric transducer positioned on rear surface of specimen and electric route to provide for simulation signals of defects. If flaw detector has many channels device is provided with auxiliary electric routes. EFFECT: higher test results. 3 cl, 3 dwg
