FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of active coal (AC) based on vegetable raw material and can be used in purification of fluids. Disclosed is a method of producing crushed active coal from peach and apricot fruit stones, including carbonisation to final temperature of 700 °C, crushing, screening of carbonizate and steam-gas activation. Carbonisation is carried out at a rate of raising temperature of 5–10 °C/min, followed by isothermal exposure at final temperature for 10–15 minutes. Activation is carried out at temperature of 880–920 °C.
EFFECT: invention provides higher adsorption activity of AC based on kernels of peach and apricot on phenol.
