FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of active coal from bones of fruit trees, mainly plums. Method involves carbonisation at 600–700 °C with a rate of temperature rise of 10–15 °C/min and holding at final temperature of 20–30 minutes, crushing, screening and activation of particles. Activation is carried out with steam at temperature of 880–920 °C to burnt 15–20 wt%.
EFFECT: active coal obtained by the proposed method provides higher efficiency of water purification from phenol at its low concentrations (0,01 mg/l).
