FIELD: production of crushed activated coal. SUBSTANCE: nut shells of fruit kernels are affected by carbonization, the process is carried out at 20-750 C, rate of increasing temperature being 30-50 C/min. Then crushing to particles being 0.5-3.5 mm in size followed by activation at 820-870 C takes place. Activation is carried out with the help of mixture of vapor and carbon dioxide. Activated coal is washed by water, ratio of carbon and water is 1: 15 ± 5. Product has high adsorption capacity in respect with cyanocobalamine and radioactive iodine.
