SUBSTANCE: method involves dehydration of methylphenylcarbinol in the presence of steam and hydrogen-containing gas on catalyst γ--aluminium oxide at weight ratio of methylphenylcarbinol : steam : hydrogen = 1: (0.8-1.0): (0.004-0.04).
