FIELD: agricultural production, in particular, storage of potato in cellars and other types of storages. SUBSTANCE: method involves drying harvested potato; placing in containers made from nonwoven material, such as agryl; holding potato tubers for 2-3 weeks at ambient temperature of 12-18 C and air relative humidity of 85-95%; carrying out inspection of tubers to reject rotten tubers; laying 2-3 kg of cotton per 1 kg of tubers into containers; placing containers for permanent storage, with storage temperature being continuously reduced to reach 4-5 C. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified method and improved quality of potato.
