FIELD: presowing preparation of seed tubers for planting on individual lands. SUBSTANCE: method involves treating potato tubers with 1-3%-solution of mineral fertilizers containing nitrogen, phosphor, potassium and with 0.01-0.05%-solution of microelements - copper, boron, manganese; providing germination of seed tubers in vessels positioned in light premises and manufactured from nonwoven covering material, such as polypropylene, at temperature ranging between +10-12 and +15-17 C, till formation of sprouts of length not exceeding 2 cm and roots of 1 cm length. Germination duration time for early sorts is 20-30 days, average late sorts 25-35 days. Relative air humidity of 85% is maintained during germination stage. EFFECT: improved quality of tubers, reduced labor intensity and decreased cost of works in preparing seed tubers for planting. 3 cl, 1 tbl
