FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves germinating seed material (medium-mature phase disease-resistant grades) at temperature of 12-18 C; planting at early stage germinated tubers with sprouts of 1-2 cm size in preliminarily prepared ridges with furrows of 6-8 cm depth along apex; applying organic or mineral fertilizer and ash, with spacing between tubers being within the range of 30-40 cm; forming ridges of 25-30 cm height upon planting and covering with light-tight nonwoven material such as polypropylene, which is positioned with overlap of 1-2 cm on ridge apex, with following laying light-tight covering material onto plants. This material is left on plants up to the end of vegetative stage. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified method and improved quality of product.
