FIELD: agricultural production, in particular, storage of small amounts of potato and other vegetables, grown in individual gardens, in cellars, basements etc. SUBSTANCE: method involves drying harvested potato; laying it in vessel made from nonwoven covering material made from polypropylene; holding potato tubers for 2-3 weeks at ambient temperature of +12 - 18 C and relative air humidity of 85-95%; removing injured tubers; laying potato for permanent storage, with storage temperature being gradually reduced. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of product.
