FIELD: substrate sterilization. SUBSTANCE: method involves producing cellulose-containing substrate by exposing it to energy flux, such as accelerated electron beam or roentgen radiation with intensity of at least 8 Mrad. Treatment of substrate with accelerated electron beam enriches substrate with cellulose decomposition products and completely eliminates foreign microflora. As a result mushroom yield is increased by 30% and number of fruit-bearing cycles is increased up to 5. EFFECT: increased efficiency, improved yield and increased fruit bearing period.
