FIELD: alcoholic industry. SUBSTANCE: method provides for hydraulic selection of low-boiling impurities by supplying water to upper plates of fractionating column. Then a part of formed vapors in column top is fractionated and obtained product is rectified. The required amount of vapors is fractionated directly in fractioning column. In so doing, accuracy in separation of low-boiling impurities is regulated by temperature of water directed for hydraulic selection and by amount of vapor supplied to still of fractionating column. EFFECT: reduced energy consumption and simplified system of piping the fractionating column. 1 tbl
